A dignified ceremony was organized at Iqra Ilmi Markaz Chaman in connection with 6th September, Pakistan Defence Day.
In the ceremony, children waved Pakistan’s green and white crescent flag and the hall echoed with enthusiastic slogans. Hundreds of teachers and students from the boys’ section of Iqra Ilmi Markaz Chaman participated in the event.
The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Muhammad Suleman, a brilliant student of class 9th, followed by the national anthem. All teachers and students stood up in respect and presented the national anthem with great zeal.
Juma Khan Achakzai, Amanullah Shadman and Mufti Maulana Muhammad Ibrahim also addressed the ceremony.
Addressing the ceremony as the chief guest and head of the institution, senior journalist and columnist Syed Sardar Muhammad Khondai said:
Pakistan is our country and the only way to its glorious future lies in national unity and love for knowledge. The nations that valued those who sacrificed for the defence of their homeland are still writing great stories of progress today. We must serve this state according to our capacity, beyond that we are not obligated. Our elders and youth have sacrificed their lives for loyalty to the homeland and soil.
In the end, all the participants paid tribute to the martyrs and Ghazis with slogans of “Zindabad”. The ceremony concluded with a prayer by Maulana Syed Muhammad.
